Covid-19 Statement on Thursday, June 1, 2020
COVID-19 UPDATE
Today we have 59 people testing positive for COVID-19 from 1,518 samples, that were tested in the last 24 hours.
The total case load in the country to date is 2,021, and samples tested since onset is 80,054.
The positive cases are distributed in the counties as follows; Nairobi, twentynine (29), Mombasa, fourteen (14),
Turkana, six (6), Busia, four (4), Taita Taveta, two (2), Kajiado, two (2), Kiambu and Kilifi, one (1) case each
We are glad to note that the number of recoveries continues to grow.
We have today discharged another eight (8) patients who have recovered from the disease.
This brings the total number of recoveries to 482. Our heartfelt appreciation goes to our healthcare workers who have made this possible
We are sad to announce the loss of 5 more patients, who succumbed to the disease from facilities in Mombasa and Nairobi.
This number elevates our case fatality rate to 69. Our condolences and sympathies go to the bereaved families and friends
